This position is located at the North Carolina Justice Academy in Salemburg, assigned to the Training Division, and is responsible for coordinating and instructing in advanced and specialized criminal justice training curricula.
Demonstrate the ability to conduct a literature review, conduct original research and prepare professional publications. The candidate will be expected to deliver a presentation as a subject matter expert at a conference or professional group setting.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Master's degree in criminology, criminal justice, one of the social sciences, or a related field from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of progressively responsible experience in the field in which assigned; or Bachelor’s degree in criminology, criminal justice, one of the social sciences, or a related field from an appropriately accredited institution and six years of progressively responsible experience in the field in which instruction is to be conducted; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Management preferences: Current Certified General Instructor with two (2) years or more experience; Experience with lesson plan development utilizing the ISD model; In-service training programs; Quality Assurance. Demonstrated experience in managing projects.
